Tolkien On Fairy-Stories
correction to dust-wrapper blurb about illustration:

For: "The picture is framed by the Two Trees, Silpion and Laurelin, which provided light to Valinor, but, now poisoned, have each borne a last single gift: the silver blossom of the Moon and the golden fruit of the Sun. Within the curve of the crescent Moon can be seen the light of the star Earendel."

Read: "The picture is framed by the Two Trees, which provided light to Valinor: the silver blossom of the Moon and the golden fruit of the Sun."

(The Trees as pictured have clearly not yet been poisoned, and it is not Earendil that can been seen in the curve of the crescent of the Moon, but the next fruit of that Tree.)
